Town. A song that place in the village section of the game.

In the emerald green valleys, a young boy heads home after a long peaceful day. But before he could head home, the strong winds scatter his family's dinner for which he must retrieve.

The "Dinner is at Steak" was made in the 2021 fall semester and fell victim to a hard drive crash in the following year. Below what what I still have and recovered from past submissions to my class among other media.  

Game Identity/Mantra

An action Metroidvania  where you encounter monsters that inhabit the wild sizes. Platforming is akin to Super Smash Bros games. Environments are atmospherically lit and can present an advantage/disadvantage while filled with lore and friends of the land and village.

Aesthetic - Beautiful environments and atmosphere. VIBRANT COLORS

-Metroidvania side scrolling platformer

-Emphasis on Speed and avoidance

-slight exploration between small encounters

At the time my background of art was primarily as an illustrator. What I most often preferred to illustrate were scenic landscape illustrations, especially of the horizon and sky.

Using parallax, the player is given a wonderful backdrop to gaze upon  as the explore the various levels.

Here is the village. This is the only level without any hostile creatures. Instead, features an NPC named Cecilia, the collectable steaks mechanic.

The buildings are a cross inspiration of German and East Asian architecture.

Lights posts also make an appearance and will be a guide on the following level.
